Because I already love Noya’s lip balms, I had formed really high targets for their Lip Glosses.
Maybe I set the bar too much, or maybe I acquired a negative pipe, but this lip gloss really i want to down. Maybe other shades better are, but the shade I’ve – which is Cabernet – was a complete fail for me. Let’s start with the shade description. In the lip gloss pipe the color Cabernet appears beautiful absolutely! It appears to be a deep wine shade with some shimmer. WHILE I pulled the applicator away, the doe-foot was purple and the gloss on the end looked like that same wealthy wine shade that it looks in the tube. When swatched, it still look but definitely not as pigmented or dark as I thought quite.
I re-dipped the wand about 2 or 3 3 times for the swatch on my hand. It was after i went to swatch it on my lips that tragedy struck and this lip gloss became a fail for me personally. In Noya’s news release, it specifically claims “richly pigmented” and “punchy pop of color”, as well as “high sparkle finish”. I can say no, no, no to all or any three of those. This gloss made an appearance richly pigmented but it’s rather pure on the lips and even is applicable patchy.

Not a lot of product comes out on the wand, so you will have to re-dip your wand at least a couple of additional times to get the colour onto your lips. In the lip swatch photos, the first lip shows it with one level — just how I’d swatch and apply any lip gloss. As you can see, it generally does not really look very pigmented.
To me, it appears more like a lip stain than a lip gloss in terms of how it seems on my lips. So far as the “high stand out finish” state, I don’t see it. You’ll get some glossy glow, but it’s not that crazy shiny and certainly could get a similar surface finish with a good hydrating lip balm. Now back again to the shade, Cabernet.
As I said, Personally i think like it seems to look similar to a lip stain in conditions of color and the way it seems on my lip area. Even though it will appear to look like a lip stain, it shall not stain your lips. The shimmer doesn’t really transfer to your lips like it shows in the tube, but certainly is a huge help in causeing this to be product appear more shiny.
I didn’t write down any notes about scent, however they say it’s vanilla scented. Let’s also talk about the purchase price point of this lip gloss. 18 a bit, that i could easily justify for an all-natural lip gloss if it truly was amazing. 18 price. At least not the pipe I’ve, nor the tone.
I really, really wanted to love this lip gloss – especially the shade, it appeared so vampy and pretty – but regrettably this lip gloss is one I wouldn’t recommend. Again Now, maybe – just maybe – other tones are better. So it’s very possible the shade Cabernet is merely on the greater sheer side and possibly Cherry Cordial or Summertime Peach would become more pigmented.
Maybe it’s just the shimmer variations that fail and the cream versions will soar. I will not rule out ever trying another shade in the future, but it’s certainly not on my “must buy this asap” list. I LOVE the Noya Lip Balms absolutely, so I believe played an enormous part in my own disappointment in this gloss.
